There is so much happening around us today that I have finally decided to share my thoughts about them with the rest of my community.
Let me being with what everyone is talking about: our new government, and the President in particular, is not wasting any time at all in introducing new policy initiatives. He must have introduced more policies in the last few months than the previous government did in their last 5 years of office. Some of the policies we are being introduced are so bold and innovative, I just wonder how practical they are!
Can we really become a Carbon free society in 10 years? That's just one example.
Experts with whom I discussed the above question says its a fantasy: and that the executive never discussed when the President announced the initiative. If we are to give this policy a priority in our daily affairs, as individuals or as a government, would just an Envoy suffice? We need a specialised unit (be it a department or a ministry) headed by a competent administrator to work on this matter.
Street violence is another subject on which I have a lot to say. I know much has been written by various bloggers on this matter but, from what I have read so far, I see limited views on possible solutions. Street violence is just one of the many social issues we are faced today. I do not want to list the rest here, instead I intend to write about them in my blog for your reactions.
And of course, the upcoming parliamentry elections: how the political parties are strategising to win most number of seats. I may focus my first real write-up on this very issue. It will not be long.
Furthermore, I would like share my own thoughts on less trivial matters too. After all, the best discussions and heated debates are often not on the most sensitive topics!
